| Utility-Scale PV – LV Side | Inverter → step-up transformer | LV Power Cable | Inverter / transformer station |
| Utility-Scale PV – MV Collection | Step-up transformer → MV switchgear / substation | MV Power Cable | Cable trench / duct / underground |
| Commercial & Utility PV – Earthing | Module structures / electrical equipment → earthing network | Grounding Cable / Conductor | Rooftop / PV field / equipment area |
Cable solutions for connection with commonly used PV modules, inverters, connectors and balance-of-system equipment, subject to the applicable electrical and installation requirements.
Reported issues are acknowledged within 1 business day. We identify the affected product and batch and confirm any immediate action required.
Batch, production, test, delivery and available site information are reviewed to determine what happened. Initial findings are provided within 5 business days.
Based on the findings, the required action is agreed. This may include technical guidance, product replacement or other corrective measures where necessary.
The agreed action is checked before the case is closed. Relevant findings are fed back into our quality controls to help prevent recurrence.
Technical support throughout the process.
No. ESS DC is an application and product-family description rather than a standardised cable designation. The current construction uses a 1.5 kV DC design with Class 5 tinned copper and cross-linked halogen-free compounds, with EN 50618 used as a design basis. It should not be treated as H1Z2Z2-K or as EN 50618 certified unless the issued product documents specifically state that.
No. They can share the same 0.6/1 kV voltage class, but their insulation, sheath materials, fire behaviour and intended installation conditions differ. The required cable should follow the route and fire specification rather than the voltage rating alone.
Send the exact connector manufacturer and model together with the cable size. Current PV extension options include Stäubli Original MC4 and MC4-EVO 2. Compatibility is checked against the actual connector system; appearance or a general “MC4-compatible” description is not enough.
Not automatically. MMJ is specified in the Finnish market under SFS 2091, while NYM belongs to a different product and standards environment. The project specification, core arrangement, installation method and fire requirement should be checked before either cable is proposed as a substitute.
No CPR class is currently stated for the ESS DC Cable. Halogen-free or flame-retardant performance does not by itself establish a CPR classification. If CPR is required for the project, the exact cable construction and supporting documentation must be confirmed before quotation.
Yes, this can be reviewed, but aluminium is not normally a size-for-size replacement for copper. Current, route length, voltage drop, installation method, available space and the equipment termination system all need to be checked before an alternative size is proposed.
