HONOUR Technical Support is intended for customers working from an existing cable designation, standard or technical specification.
Standard market cable types can be matched directly to the corresponding HONOUR type.
Where national cable designations differ, the corresponding HONOUR cable type is identified before detailed technical verification.
H1Z2Z2-K, N2XH, N2XY, NA2XS(F)2Y and other established cable designations can be matched directly by type, conductor size and required version.
Finnish, French, British and other national cable designations are mapped to the corresponding HONOUR cable type before detailed technical verification.
A corresponding designation alone is not sufficient. The proposed cable must also meet the technical and approval requirements relevant to the specified product.
Applicable EN, IEC, VDE or national requirements, CPR classification, DoP and required certification.
Rated voltage, conductor material, conductor class, cross-section and other specified electrical requirements.
Insulation and sheath materials, screen, armour, water-blocking construction and relevant dimensional requirements.
Temperature range, flame performance, UV and water resistance, bending requirements and other specified characteristics.
Each comparison is concluded as a Direct Match, Alternative or No Direct Match according to the specified requirements.
The HONOUR product meets the specified cable type and the relevant technical and approval requirements.
A suitable HONOUR cable is available, but one or more relevant differences require confirmation before substitution.
The specified requirement is outside the current HONOUR standard range or includes a condition that the proposed cable does not meet.
The substitution assessment is supported by the technical and compliance information relevant to the specified cable.
Send the available cable reference or technical information. A complete project specification is not required.
Provide the cable type, conductor size and voltage rating where available.
Include the applicable national standard, CPR class or required certification where specified.
Provide the current product datasheet or technical specification where the designation alone is not sufficient.
