H07BZ5-F combines power, protective, control and pilot conductors for Mode 2 and Mode 3 AC charging assemblies.
AC charging leads are moved, coiled and bent every day, especially near the plug and charging point. H07BZ5-F uses a Class 5 flexible copper conductor and a tough halogen-free polyurethane sheath to handle this mobile connection duty. The construction is designed for EV charging rather than fixed building wiring, with resistance to abrasion, oils and outdoor exposure supporting day-to-day use in garages, driveways and public charging locations.
An AC charging lead carries more than load current. It also needs dedicated control and pilot conductors so the vehicle and charging equipment can establish and manage the charging session. H07BZ5-F combines the power, protective and signalling cores within one flexible multicore cable, simplifying the manufacture of single-phase and three-phase charging leads.
H07BZ5-F is defined by EN 50620 / IEC 62893 for electric-vehicle charging cable applications. Available core configurations cover different AC charging duties, giving assembly manufacturers a recognised cable platform before the connector, finished length and strain-relief system are added. This helps keep the electrical cable construction consistent across different charging-lead designs.
Designed for Battery electric vehicles, Plug-in hybrid vehicles, Home AC charging and Public AC charging.

No. H07BZ5-F defines the charging cable. A finished charging lead also includes connectors, strain relief and assembly work, so the complete lead has additional requirements beyond the cable itself.
